Job Description
RaganSmith, a Pape-Dawson company, is seeking a paid Landscape Architect Intern to join our Landscape Architecture and Land Planning Studio based in our Nashville office. This internship will focus on learning the ins and outs of Landscape Architecture within a multi-disciplinary firm with professional development at the forefront of our internal curriculum. Working in tandem with our surveyors and engineers allows for seamless design process, learning opportunities, and a better product for both our clients and the users of the spaces we create.
This ideal candidate is creative, collaborative, and has a passion for designing places that are authentic, innovative, and functional. The position will have an opportunity to work on a broad range of projects including master-planned communities, parks, green infrastructure, retail, detailed urban spaces, mixed use spaces, civic centers

Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of design concepts, schematic design, cost estimates, and code analysis and presentation as assigned
- Develop design concepts by hand graphics and computer graphic programs, including SketchUp, Lumion, AutoCAD, and Adobe Suite
- Maintain project communications and information
- Prepare designs previously originated or refine and develop sketches provided by others
- Learn to read and understand construction drawings, digital mapping, and other related documentation
- Additional related duties as needed
