Job Description:
Rage Powerboats, a high-performance boat manufacturer, is seeking a Boat Painter & Bodywork Specialist with an auto body background to join our team. This full-time position involves painting boat decks and hulls, performing bodywork, and working with gel coat, fiberglass, and composites. We are looking for someone experienced in automotive painting who is ready to transition their skills to the marine industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prep, sand, and paint boat decks and hulls using automotive painting techniques
- Perform light to moderate bodywork on boats, including fiberglass and gel coat repairs
- Work with gel coat, fiberglass, resin, and composites
- Use a variety of painting tools and techniques for custom finishes
- Assist in maintaining and repairing boat exteriors to meet high-quality standards
- Collaborate with the team to meet production schedules and deadlines
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications & Skills:
- 1 year of experience in auto body painting and bodywork
- Experience with sanding, prepping, and painting surfaces
- Familiarity with fiberglass and gel coat is a plus but not required (training provided)
- Comfortable using shop tools and painting equipment
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding environments
- Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
