Reports To: Quality Manager Position Type: Non-Exempt

Summary: The main function of the Building and Grounds Janitor is to ensure that the buildings and grounds are clean, safe, and well maintained.

Essential Job Functions:

• Responsible for various tasks including:
  • Cleaning, tidying, general appearance, and collection of trash including but not limited to:
    • Employee break areas
    • Bathrooms
    • Handwash areas
    • Offices
    • Locker Rooms
    • Conference Room
    • Test kitchen
    • Lab
    • Stairwells
    • Around the compactor areas
    • Lawn and sidewalks around perimeter of both facilities
  • Picking up and delivering products to the lab by 730am daily.
  • Checking for hot water at all handwash sinks daily.
  • Weeding as needed
  • Emptying trashes and picking up trash outside and on perimeter of property.
  • Winter maintenance, shoveling and salting entrances as needed.
  • Transporting parcel packages from one building to another
• May be asked to participate in Safety Meetings.
• Operates under the GMP- Good manufacturing procedures.
• Notifying management of any excessive trash or graffiti observed.
• Operate with the mindset that teamwork and cooperation are essential for successful completion of job order.
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to perform multi-tasking.
• Ability to solve moderate problems and make recommendations for review by others.
• Ability to cross train

Supervisory Responsibility:

None

• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, including ability to translate.

• Ability to push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
