Job Summary
The Ragsdale Company is a high-end residential painting, decorating and finishing company with a niche focus on kitchen and bath renovations. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for woodworking and craftsmanship, with experience in fabricating high-quality cabinets and millwork. This role involves working with various materials and tools to create custom cabinetry that meets our clients' specifications. A strong understanding of blueprint reading is preferred, along with knowledge of restoration techniques.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate cabinets and millwork according to design specifications and blueprints.
- Ability to choose appropriate wood types, veneers, and other materials based on project requirements and budget.
- Operate woodworking machinery like table saws, jointers, shapers, and band saws to precisely cut and shape wood components.
- Perform water damage restoration tasks as needed, ensuring quality repairs.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to client satisfaction.
- Conduct thorough inspections of finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Assist in flooring installation, drywall work, door hanging, and mold remediation as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.
- Physical ability to transport and install completed cabinets on-site, making necessary adjustments for a perfect fit.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker or similar role in the woodworking industry.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical drawings.
- Attention to detail: Precise measuring and careful craftsmanship to achieve high-quality results
- Familiarity with CNC machinery and woodworking tools.
- Knowledge of water damage restoration processes is a plus.
- Experience in the restoration industry, including flooring installation, drywall, door hanging, and mold remediation is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Problem-solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues during the construction process.
- Physical stamina: Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions for extended periods.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
