Job Overview:
The Inventory Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that all inventory vehicles are properly maintained, clean, organized, and clearly displayed in accordance with dealership standards. The role will involve managing vehicle lot organization, handling vehicle inventory, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and supporting the sales team by maintaining an attractive, well-organized inventory for customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all inventory vehicles are clean, presentable, and ready for sale.
- Communicate with management regarding any issues with the physical condition of vehicles that could affect their sale.
- Ensure dealership plate frames are affixed to the rear of all inventory vehicles.
- Ensure dealership advertising plates are affixed to the front of all inventory vehicles.
- Oversee the organization of wholesale vehicles, ensuring they are placed in the designated area in the additional inventory lot.
- Confirm that all used vehicles on payoff are stored in the specified area in the additional inventory lot.
- Clearly mark vehicles waiting for title in the specified "waiting for title" area.
- Oversee the proper display and organization of vehicles awaiting a "works check", cleaning, or stock.
- Maintain and organize the additional inventory lot according to Ira sales management specifications.
- Replace sold vehicles or empty spaces promptly with fresh inventory.
- Ensure the most marketable inventory is used first when filling open spaces.
- Confirm that all new vehicles have factory stickers and addendum stickers, if applicable.
- Ensure that all used vehicles display Limited Warranty information, Buyer’s Guide, and selling price.
- Properly monitor and maintain all vehicle keys, both new and used.
- Check in all new vehicle inventory from the manufacturer and document any damage according to Ira and manufacturer guidelines.
- Manage the check-in process for used vehicle inventory from auctions or other sources.
- Ensure the vehicle lot is properly maintained and cleaned at all times.
- Follow all federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies regarding the safeguarding of information.
- Report to work on time and follow the schedule provided. Communicate with your supervisor if unable to attend work on time.
- Keep up-to-date with required annual HR training and any other necessary training for the role.
- Follow all company policies and procedures. Report any illegal activity to your supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required..
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining an organized and clean work environment.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Working Conditions:
- This position requires the ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
- Some physical labor may be required, including walking, lifting, and bending.
