Position Summary

RAI is expanding our in-house detailing team due to our companys growth. We are seeking an experienced Miscellaneous Steel Detailer with strong experience in detailing mezzanines, stairs, and handrails.

Essential Functions

Interpret construction documents to create a detailed 3-D model using SDS / 2.
Check all connections for code and structural requirements.
Detail miscellaneous steel including mezzanines, stairs, handrails, and ladders.
Create detailed shop drawings for steel fabrication.
Develop erection drawings and anchor setting plans for field use.
Generate reports and downloads to assist other team members.
Coordinate with other team members to ensure quality and schedule are maintained.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience detailing miscellaneous steel.

Minimum of 3 years of experience detailing in SDS / 2.

Understanding of AISC, OSHA, and AWS standards and procedures as they relate to steel fabrication and erection preferred.

Strong organizational skills.

Team-oriented communication skills.

Experience with Google Suite and Bluebeam preferred.

Structural steel detailing experience preferred.

Checking experience is a plus.

Authorized to work in the US (proof of this status will be required upon employment). We are not able to offer sponsorship at this time.

Work Setting

In-office preferred with a possibility for a hybrid or remote schedule depending on experience.
