We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Managing Family Law Attorney to lead our team and oversee the operations of our law office. This pivotal role involves not only the management of a diverse caseload but also the cultivation of client relationships and the mentorship of legal professionals within the firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the day-to-day functions of the law office, ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Provide strategic leadership and mentorship to attorneys and support staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Personally handle high-profile and complex family law matters, ensuring the provision of exemplary legal services.
  • Conduct strategy sessions with clients to devise effective legal approaches.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediation sessions, trials, and other legal proceedings.
  • Oversee case management, ensuring all family law cases progress smoothly from initiation to conclusion.
  • Review and manage legal documentation, including pleadings and agreements, while implementing solid case strategies.
  • Supervise financial operations within the firm, including billing and financial reporting.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Admitted and in good standing with the Maryland state bar.
  • A minimum of 8 to 10 years of substantive experience in family law, managing a varied caseload.
  • Proven experience in managing a legal team, including supervising attorneys and support staff.
  • Extensive courtroom experience, including litigation, trials, and negotiations.
