We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sonographer to deliver mobile ultrasound services across a variety of healthcare settings, including nursing homes, home care facilities, and correctional facilities. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality imaging services while traveling to different locations in a professional and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Self-dispatch or communicate with the dispatch department to acquire information regarding the initial case load.
- Arrive punctually at the assigned facility to commence the shift.
- Utilize portable sonographic equipment to perform ultrasound examinations as per physician orders, ensuring the acquisition of clinically diagnostic and technically proficient images.
- Process and transmit ultrasound images digitally to a Radiologist for interpretation.
- Regularly check for new cases via self-dispatching systems and maintain communication with the dispatcher as required.
- Confirm accuracy of orders against the patient's chart before performing any examinations.
- Ensure proper patient identification by verifying two identifiers, such as name and date of birth.
- Maintain and care for company equipment and vehicles while adhering to safety and operational standards.
- Represent the company professionally through adherence to dress code and ethical conduct at all times.
- Participate in meetings and trainings as necessary to enhance professional development.
- Proficient in performing portable ultrasound examinations.
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, with a pleasant phone manner.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic computer and smartphone operational skills.
- Good understanding of local geography and travel routes.
- Must be registered with ARDMS or CCI for vascular ultrasound.
- At least ECHO registered (ARDMS: AE, CCI: AE) is essential; dual modalities are advantageous.
- Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound technology program.
- Must maintain valid licensure and provide documentation as required.
- Compliance with health and operational requirements, including COVID-19 vaccination or documented exemption.
