Job Summary:
We are hiring a ProjectWise CAD Manager to lead the administration, configuration, and maintenance of our ProjectWise environment. This role includes project setup, user support, training, and ensuring CAD standards are maintained. The ideal candidate will have expertise in CAD production and engineering workflows to drive efficiency and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Setup & Support: Create and manage ProjectWise projects, ensuring smooth setup and user support.
- Software Configuration: Configure and integrate ProjectWise with tools like AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil3D, OpenRoads, and OpenRail.
- User Training & Support: Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and training on ProjectWise and CAD standards.
- Documentation & Standards: Develop and maintain CAD standards, workflows, and process documentation for consistency.
- System Updates & Testing: Manage updates, test new software versions, and ensure compatibility and performance.
- Process Improvement: Innovate and streamline CAD workflows to improve efficiency and project delivery.
- Team Training & Mentorship: Train and mentor CAD technicians and junior team members to build skills and ensure standards compliance.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Support project planning and execution to integrate CAD designs into larger engineering objectives.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as needed to meet business goals.
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Expert in ProjectWise configuration and management.
- Proficient in CAD software including MicroStation, OpenRoads, OpenRail, AutoCAD, and Civil3D.
- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage complex project setups and ensure successful delivery.
- Thorough understanding of civil and railroad engineering standards and best practices.
Required Education and Experience:
- 3 years’ experience as a ProjectWise Administrator in an engineering environment, including client and stakeholder coordination.
- Experience using Bentley CAD software in production.
- Strong knowledge of engineering workflows and CAD standards.
- 6 years’ experience as a CAD Manager or ProjectWise Administrator (railroad industry experience preferred).
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Experience with AutoDesk software in CAD production.
- Trade school certification in CAD software or a related field is a plus.
- Commitment to learning and staying updated on industry trends.
Additional Qualifications:
- Active membership in professional organizations or technical committees is preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Train and mentor CAD managers and users.
- Monitor performance and provide guidance to improve accuracy and efficiency.
