About the Role: Join RailPros as a Structural Design Intern and dive into the dynamic world of rail infrastructure. This internship provides an opportunity to engage in the design and development of rail structural projects. As a key team member, you’ll collaborate with experienced professionals, gain hands-on experience with CAD software, and contribute to the success of ongoing projects. This role offers a rich learning environment to apply your academic knowledge, build technical skills, and lay the groundwork for a rewarding career in structural design. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist in Design Development:
  • Collaborate with the structural design team to contribute to structural engineering projects.
  • Work with structural engineers to create detailed design drawings, plans, and specifications.

• CAD Modeling and Drafting:
  • Use CAD software (AutoCAD and/or MicroStation) to create detailed models and drawings.
  • Participate in designing structural components and systems per industry standards and project requirements.

• Data Analysis:
  • Assist in collecting and analyzing data relevant to structural projects.

• Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively to convey ideas, progress, and challenges.

• Quality Assurance:
  • Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Basic oral and written communication abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Collaborative and team-oriented.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work.
• Willingness to learn and adapt.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program (in progress).
• No prior experience required.
