Railside Golf Club is a landmark in the Southwest Grand Rapids area while still holding on to the small-town charm of Byron Center. The club consists of an 18-hole golf course, a driving range, a swimming pool, a full-service clubhouse, The Union Pavilion, and a pro shop. All are here to provide for the recreational enjoyment of our members and guests. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the food and beverage management of our catering services including the set-up, execution, and tear down in a timely manner.
- Lead and assist a team of other servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff through full meal service and clean-up.
- Handle complaints or problems with a positive attitude.
- Assist in management of consumable products, including plasticware and paperware, linens, and beverages.
- Assist in banquet facility set up, cleanliness, and closing for golf outings, weddings, banquets, or corporate meetings.
- Various day-of-event tasks include, but are not limited to, stocking the bar, folding linens, polishing silverware, setting buffets, and moving tables to align with event layout.
Position Requirements
- One year event coordinating experience preferred.
- Be well organized and function well in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to quickly solve problems while under pressure.
- Enjoy working in a team environment, as well as confidently work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to lift /carry 35 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work weekends and nights.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
