Project Manager is responsible for understanding the project deliverables and creating timelines for different individuals and groups involved in the project to make sure the project remains on track. They must be familiar with the goals of the project and the responsibilities of all involved parties. Duties and responsibilities include:
- Ability to lead a team by being a good and effective communicator
- Excellence in building rapport and creating a team environment where all those with project responsibilities work well together
- Ability to maintain a high level of organization by ensuring daily job allocation
- Planning the work to be done, getting the necessary personnel, and assigning the right duties to the right people
- Procuring and allocating resources to ensure there is no shortage while avoiding any unnecessary delays caused by management decisions
- Managing both internal and external risks within the project’s lifetime, such as poor planning designs, and government policies, which directly or indirectly affect the project
Planning and documenting tasks
Project managers identify project goals, tasks, and required resources. They also create a project schedule and timeline.
Project managers assign tasks to the appropriate teams so everyone knows what to focus on.
Managing resources
Project managers allocate resources to the team and manage them to ensure the project's success. They also track budgets based on available resources and needs.
Building and managing teams
Project managers select the right people for the job, manage conflicts, and create a positive team dynamic.
Project managers monitor the project's progress to ensure it's on track to meet the timeline and objectives. They also report on the project's status to stakeholders, including progress, problems, and solutions.

Qualifications:
- Thorough understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations
- Must have good computer skills and experience using project management software
- Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to make intelligent and quick decisions, working well under pressure, and when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays
- Ability to effectively multitask while analyzing and solving problems
- Thorough understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings
- Commercial and residential electrical experience required
- Regional construction project management experience required
- Knowledge of NEC and OSHA safety guidelines and regulations
