Overview
We are seeking a Recess and Playground Monitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supervising playground and lunchroom activities and be interested in a career in education. This position requires a strong commitment to fostering a safe and positive learning environment while effectively managing student behavior. This is a part time position with opportunities to become a full time Teaching Assistant for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Supervise students during play activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Educate students on appropriate behavior and social skills, reinforcing positive interactions.
- Implement behavior management strategies to address conflicts and promote a harmonious classroom atmosphere.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents to support individual student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create an inclusive learning experience.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A passion for education and the ability to motivate and inspire students are essential qualities for success in this role.
