Assistant Teacher: Rainbow Playschool is looking for Assistant Teachers with a passion for early childhood development who also have a love of the outdoors!
Full Time or Part Time Schedule
$16-18/hr depending on formal education and related experience.
About Us:
Rainbow Playschool is a nature and play based Preschool & Licensed Child Care Center in Woodstock, VT servicing children 6 weeks to 5 years old. We are a four-star, state accredited, community-owned non-profit with a forty-year history with the town of Woodstock and surrounding villages, run by a board of directors drawn from current and former parents of our students. We focus on providing a guided, outdoor play-focused environment for children to learn, grow, and develop in, and hiring creative, nurturing teachers with a deep love for their students and our school.

Responsibilities.
- Nurturing and guiding the development of our children.
- Working with a lead or associate teacher to care for children and provide a wide range of hands-on learning experiences.
- Assisting with snack preparation and light cleaning duties.
- Assististing teachers and students with tasks as needed.
- Bringing a creative, energetic personality and working with staff and students cheerfully.
- Complete at least 24 hours of professional development training yearly.
Requirements:
- Prior experience preferred.
- To meet licensing requirements you must already have completed a College level course in Early Childhood Education, Human Growth & Development, or related field. If not, you would be required to complete a semester in ECE Fundamentals Course or College Approved Course, within the first year of employment. Rainbow provides guidance and financial support in meeting this requirement.
