Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Restoration Crew Leader to join our team. IICRC certified in WTR, ASD, AMRT, and FSRT. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in restoring properties affected by water damage, fire, mold, and other disasters. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, the ability to work effectively in challenging environments, ability to learn, the aspiration of becoming the Mitigation Operations Manager. As a Restoration Crew Leader, you will utilize various tools and techniques, as well as guiding and training restoration technicians and helpers to restore homes and businesses to their pre-loss condition.
Duties
- Operate power tools and equipment safely and efficiently for restoration tasks.
- Perform water damage restoration, including extraction, drying, and dehumidification processes.
- Conduct mold remediation procedures to ensure safe and effective removal.
- Execute fire restoration tasks, including cleaning soot and smoke damage.
- Handle carpet cleaning and restoration as part of the overall recovery process.
- Assist with asbestos abatement when required, following all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to assess damage and develop effective restoration plans.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the restoration process.
- Onboarding of clients.
- Discuss the next steps of in the insurance claim.
- Document all work performed and communicate progress with clients as needed.
- Appropriate handling and application of wall cleaners and deodorants
- Proper wrapping and packing of customer’s contents
- Effective emergency cleaning procedures
- Supervise helpers in performance of company services
- Provide training for helpers on company procedures, reporting, and performing services
- Complete appropriate restoration documentation (mixture of app-based programs/pictures, paper and pencil, and simple math calculations)
- Keep a clean and neat jobsite at all times, leaving a first-class impression of our work
- Participate in an “On Call” rotation for after-hours service calls. (This involves some night and weekend responsibilities.)
- Train and manage Restoration technicians and helpers.
- Become certified by IICRC in WTR, ASD, AMRT, HST, FRT, ODR
Qualifications
- Certified by IICRC in WTR, ASD, AMRT,FSRT
- 2 years previous experience in the restoration industry.
- Familiarity with water damage restoration techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Ability to operate power tools safely while adhering to safety regulations.
- Ability to work in proper PPE.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods. Must regularly be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 90 pounds.
- Ability to manage a crew of restoration technicians and helpers.
- A valid driver's license may be required for transportation to job sites.
- Pass a criminal background check.
