PURPOSE:
Seeking creative and passionate Designer for their Intimates team with at least 6-8 years’ experience in the category. Strong CAD ability a must.
COMPANY:
Hop Lun is a global manufacturing leader specializing in the Intimates, Swimwear, and Activewear categories. We partner with top retailers and brands across all channels and market segments such as Walmart, Target, PVH, VS, Alo Yoga and Skims.
In Q4 2024, Hop Lun takes another step forward and will be opening up a 11,000 ft space in Manhattan - a Product Lab, Sample room and Showroom to support both existing and new accounts. We are seeking talented persons to join our growing US team!
JOB DUTIES:
- Collaborate with the design manager to on trend forecasting, product design, seasonal presentations.
- Responsible for sketching product lines.
- Creates and updates tech packs and detail pages, send out for development.
- Source fabrics/trims from the factories for seasonal development.
- Maintain records of ongoing product development and material sourcing.
- Reviews incoming samples to present at Finalization meetings; making sure submits are matching to tech pack requests.
- Collaborate in designing, sketching, and detailing the product line.
- Create line sheets, maintain record of style numbers.
- Create swatch books for all fabrics, trim, used in design.
- Prepare and update correspondences, spreadsheets, and forms.
- Maintains an organized design space (samples, files, visual CAD’s etc.) so that information is readily accessible to teammates.
- Work to seasonal calendar, adhere to product development deadlines and key benchmark meetings.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Fashion Design or similar degree.
- Experience in garment construction specific to intimate's category (bras, underwear, sleep).
- Strong communication skills to collaborate and communicate internally with crossfunctional teams: Design, Sales, Production, & Overseas.
- Solution oriented with ability to anticipate problems, address issues, and resolve challenges in a timely manner.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of trends, market demands, brand objectives and design aesthetic.
- Proficiency in Photoshop & Illustrator, Office Suite.
- Proficiency in 3D software (CLO, Browzwear) a plus.
- 68 years of related product design and development experience.
