Project Manager/Estimator Job Description: Position: Project Manager/Estimator
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Salary position, Full Time, Exempt
Project Manager/Estimator is a full-time, exempt position. This individual will develop estimates for clients and serve as a project manager for projects from preconstruction to construction close out that the company is awarded. This position is a managerial role that consists of working directly with clients, superintendents, subcontractors, construction workers and building officials.
The ideal candidate will have Project Management experience overseeing multiple ground up commercial jobs with contract value up to $30 million over the past 5 years.Resume should include projects completed to verify project experience the following items must be included: project description, project dates, contract value.
Necessary Skills and Responsibilities:
- Ability to understand construction project plans, architectural drawings and specifications and technical standards
- Demonstrate the ability to problem solve in a fast-moving role – to include project issues that may have an impact on budget and schedule among other issues
- Compile and organize electronic files for each project and bid
- Negotiate and prepare subcontractors contracts and change orders
- Prepare AIA Payment Applications for monthly billing to clients
- Responsible to oversee profit and loss of assigned projects
- Responsible for adherence to project schedule to include assistance with development of the schedule as well as ongoing schedule adjustments with superintendents
- Responsible for coordinating OAC meetings as necessary for projects
- Responsible for submitting RFI’s, Submittals, Change Orders as necessary for projects
- Must be highly motivated and driven
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Detail oriented and able to demonstrate leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Team oriented mentality
- Computer knowledge is required – Adobe, Outlook and Microsoft Suite knowledge is preferred; Onscreen Takeoff, Bluebeam, Sage are software systems used in this role that training can be provided upon employment

Education/Experience:
- Project Management – 1 year minimum (preferred)
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- OSHA 10 Certified (preferred)
