What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical laboratory Technician Position position at Rainelle Medical Center?
Rainelle Medical Center is looking for a Full-time Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) for the main site in Rainelle, WV. The MLT willperform and analyze clinical laboratory tests within the scope of licensure in all laboratory disciplines by standard operating policies and procedures. Understand method principles, perform calibrations, quality control, maintenance, review, and analyze results as to accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits. Perform clerical duties such as faxing, copying, mailing reports, completing log sheets and answering the phone.
Minimum Qulifications :
WV Licensure as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Associate of Science (AAS) degree in Medical Laboraty Technology OR Associate degree in a physical, chemical or biological science with one year of clinical lab training / experience.
Required Qualifications :
Certification as a Medical laboratory Technician (MLT) by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) OR American Medical Technologists (AMT).
Experience :
At least 6 months of experience as a Medical Laboratory Techinician is required.
