Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems and infrastructure components.
- Deploy and manage web services using Linux, Terraform, and cloud service providers (e.g., Google Cloud, AWS).
- Build containerized applications using tools such as Kubernetes (K8s) and Docker.
- Develop and deploy backend applications using common web frameworks (e.g., Flask, Django).
- Design, document, and maintain RESTful APIs to support internal and external integrations.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and manage build systems to ensure smooth deployments.
- Work with Postgres databases, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify system requirements and create solutions at scale.
- Experience: 3–8 years as a backend or infrastructure engineer.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in deploying and managing web services on Linux systems.
- Hands-on experience with cloud service providers (Google Cloud, AWS, etc.).
- Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
- Proficiency in containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Advanced knowledge of Python and experience with frameworks like Flask and Django.
- Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs.
- Database Management: Expertise in Postgres database development and optimization.
- CI/CD Practices: Solid understanding of CI/CD best practices and experience managing build systems.
- Scalable Infrastructure: Experience building backend services and infrastructure components at scale.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting and presenting technical designs.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth startup or tech environment.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems design.
- Exposure to performance profiling and optimization.
