Job Overview:
The Accounting & Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting functions, with a primary focus on accounts payable. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction accounting, be highly organized, and possess strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Assist with monthly and year-end financial close processes.
- Work closely with project managers to track expenses and budgets.
- Record employee hours and process payroll
- Invoice customers and maintain tight control of accounts receivable.
- Assist in preparing financial reports, including job cost reports and cash flow analysis.
- Manage W-9s and assist in 1099 reporting for subcontractors.
- Lien Management
- Support other accounting functions as needed.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction or contracting industry.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and best practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
