What are the responsibilities and job description for the Asphalt Crew Member Experienced position at Rainier Asphalt & Concrete?
Overview
We are seeking experienced professionals for our crews. The successful applicant will have experience with rakers, rollers, screed operators, equipment operators, and paver operators for our asphalt crews. In addition, they will have experience with removing and replacing, overlays and new paving with tonnages between 25 and 1,000 or more. Someone with attention to detail regarding grade, proper sub base construction, drainage and mat appearance will also be considered.
Through recurring contract work, we stay busy year-round with our paving/patchwork/concrete operations, and are not as seasonal as many in our industry.

Founded in 2000, Rainier Asphalt & Concrete is a leading pavement contractor in the Puget Sound region. We provide various services, including: hot mix asphalt patching and paving, asphalt seal coating, striping, curbing, concrete flat work, crack filling, drainage and traffic control. We employ approximately 75 people and have offices in North Bend, Tacoma and Snohomish. The company is operational and busy year-round, and is much less seasonal than many competitors in this industry.
General Requirements
- 3 years of experience in the paving industry
- Focus on safety and quality
- Proficiency in English (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license
