Job Overview:
We're looking for a dedicated, compassionate team member to join us in providing exceptional care for dogs. The ideal candidate should have a genuine passion for animals and a commitment to delivering excellent service to both pets and their owners. In this hands-on role, you’ll be an essential part of ensuring our furry companions are healthy, happy, and well-cared for. While prior experience is a plus, it’s your love for animals and your desire to offer outstanding care that matters most. Must be 18 years of age.
Please note: This role requires availability on weekends and holidays, as our facility operates 365 days a year. Our current location is in Auburn, but we will be relocating to Renton in the near future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care for dogs, including feeding, walking, and administering medication when needed.
- Maintain clean and safe living spaces for the dogs, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Observe and report any changes in a dog's health or behavior.
- Safely handle dogs of all breeds, sizes, and special needs.
- Engage with pet owners to tailor care to their preferences.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure every pet receives seamless and attentive care.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in animal care is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with dog handling and basic training techniques.
- Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and handle physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent customer service skills and a warm, friendly attitude.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- A deep commitment to animal welfare, safety, and cleanliness.
- Passion for making a positive difference in the lives of pets and their owners.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about animal care, available for weekend shifts, and flexible with the upcoming location change from Auburn to Renton.
