What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sewing Machine Operator position at Rainier Industries?
OAI Rainier is a full-service supplier of Visual Branding with a long, established history. We are looking for a Sewing Machine Operator to join our team. Our Sewing Machine Operators complete a wide variety of fabric finished visual branding products from small to large and complex. This role will primarily focus on sewing large vinyl billboards.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Basic sewing skills required.
Experience with industrial sewing machines, sergers, bartacks and related equipment required.
Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Basic math skills (ability to read measuring tape and take accurate measurements).
Ability to understand which piece to sew, proper orientation of materials, type of seams.
Ability to lift, push, pull 50-75lbs consistently throughout shift.
Ability to pull, lift and sew oversize vinyl material.
Compensation:This is an hourly position, eligible for overtime. Starting pay is $17.00 to $18.50 per hour.
