A senior sales role has opened due to a company promotion. Rainier Recruiting has partnered with a commercial office interiors business who has had multiple employees of 20 year tenure retire recently, and are looking for new future leaders (and top performers) of the company. This senior sales role will involve inheriting some existing business, while prospecting and hunting for net new business.

Compensation : ?$120,000 to $175,000 (combination of base and commission, quite negotiable)

Location : ?This is a remote position covering Puget Sound and the greater Washington region.

SUMMARY

The Business Development Manager’s main role is to boost sales and expand market presence. This position involves crafting and executing growth strategies for existing clients and attracting new business. With a client-first approach, you will become a trusted advisor during planning phases and manage client expectations from project initiation to completion alongside your team.

  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Customer-Centric Focus : Develop and implement strategies to drive business development, revenue, and margin growth with both new and existing clients. Understand clients' corporate goals and key performance metrics, build strong business relationships, and coordinate with customer support for prompt responses.
  • Position Focus & Key Outcomes : Exhibit expert prospecting skills to uncover opportunities, manage an up-to-date business plan, and master the brand and market differentiators. Achieve annual sales targets of $4M to $6M.
  • Business Acumen : Track leads and customer opportunities using CRM, manage profitable relationships, negotiate contracts, and provide accurate sales forecasts. Meet or exceed targets set by Sales Leadership.
  • Organizational Interface : Collaborate with internal and external teams. Attend sales and team meetings, and embody company values.
  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • A four-year college degree is preferred, with a focus in construction, design, or architecture being ideal.
  • Three to five years of successful sales experience, preferably in construction, architecture, or project management.
  • EQUIPMENT AND TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficiency with company-provided laptop, Microsoft Office suite, MS Teams, and the internet.
  • Basic knowledge of Cap 20-20 for pricing requests.
  • Familiarity with Netsuite ERP system is advantageous.
