The House Supervisor (RN) oversees hospital operations in the absence of administration, ensuring quality patient care in a behavioral health setting.
This role involves managing performance, maintaining schedules, and providing education and coaching to nursing staff. The House Supervisor also conducts department meetings and possesses expertise in nursing assessments and treatment planning.Overview:

Position Details:
The House Supervisor will oversee the entire hospital operation during the time administration is not present.
This role requires managing performance, maintaining schedules, and completing education and coaching when necessary.
The House Supervisor will assist the Director of Nursing in conducting department meetings.
They will display a thorough nursing knowledge including assessments, treatment planning, discharge and admission procedures, medication distribution and medical care.
The House Supervisor will deliver quality nursing care to ensure goals of the treatment plan are properly executed.
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age, Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing training
- Current unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing
- CPR Certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact
- Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred
- Experience in patient assessments, family motivations, treatment planning and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities
