The Nursing Operations Manager - Behavioral Health Specialist plays a vital role in overseeing the entire hospital operation during periods when administration is not present. Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing performance and maintaining schedules
- Completing education and coaching when necessary
- Displaying thorough nursing knowledge, including assessments, treatment planning, discharge and admission procedures, medication distribution, and medical care
- Delivering quality nursing care to ensure goals of the treatment plan are properly executed
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- A current unencumbered license to practice nursing by the State Board of Nursing
- CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact
- Previous experience working in a psychiatric healthcare facility, preferably with direct experience in chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, and geriatric patient care
- Experience in patient assessments, family motivations, treatment planning, and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities
Compensation for this role ranges from $45 to $64 per hour, depending on circumstances.
