What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wildland Firefighter position at Rainier Wildfire?
We are a private on call Wildland Firefighting company. During the fire season we wait for a dispatch and then we are sent to a wildfire. From there we work with other firefighters from various agencies in an organized command structure to extinguish the wildfire. We are offering entry level positions all the way up to Engine Boss. For the entry level positions there is a 4 day class in which you learn the basics of being a wildland firefighter, as well as pertinent safety topics. If you wish to take this class you will need pay this fee beforehand. If you are already FF2 qualified or above please have all paperwork ready to be emailed for our records, such as your S-130, S-190 and FEMA certs.
