A Manager for Raining Berries is responsible for overseeing and ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining consistent service quality, beginning at one location with the potential to grow into a regional position, covering locations in the Tampa, Sarasota, and Orlando markets.
The job description includes the following responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of restaurant.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, standards, and procedures.
- Optimize operational efficiency by monitoring staff, inventory, and customer service.
2. Staff Management:
- Recruit, hire, and train key staff.
- Provide coaching and leadership to management teams to improve performance.
- Monitor staffing levels and manage scheduling to meet operational needs.
- Organize and lead meetings with staff, ownership, and management to discuss key updates and areas for improvement.
3. Financial Management:
- Manage budgets and control costs (labor, food, supplies).
- Analyze financial reports, identify trends, and implement strategies to increase profitability.
- Ensure restaurant meets its sales targets.
4. Customer Service & Quality Assurance:
- Ensure location provides a high level of customer service and food quality.
- Handle escalated customer complaints or issues, resolving them effectively.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with Raining Berries quality standards.
5. Compliance, HR & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as food safety standards; keep State food safety certifications on file and up-to-date.
- Implement and monitor employee safety programs.
- Onboard new hires.
6. Marketing & Sales:
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotions and drive sales.
- Understand local market trends and customer preferences to enhance menu offerings and promotions.
- Work collaboratively with Brand Ambassador to organize events, marketing strategies, and ensure that monthly marketing deliverables are met.
7. Reporting:
- Provide regular performance reports to upper management, including insights into sales, staff performance, and operational challenges.
- Use data-driven insights to recommend improvements and strategic initiatives.
8. Team Development:
- Identify opportunities for training and development to improve team performance.
- Organize bi-weekly meetings with restaurant managers and ownership to discuss goals, performance, and feedback.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a multi-unit manager or area manager in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Ability to analyze financial data and drive profitability.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.
- Flexibility to travel between locations regularly (if necessary)
