Irrigation Technician

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and quick-learning candidate to join our fast-growing irrigation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining irrigation systems, including electrical components, pipes, and fittings. This role requires someone with a strong ability to solve problems independently, demonstrate excellent critical thinking skills, and take ownership of their responsibilities to ensure top rated irrigation service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical components of irrigation systems, ensuring the proper functionality of all systems.

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation pipes and fittings, ensuring the effective delivery of water.

• Ensure that your company vehicle and equipment are consistently cleaned, organized, and well-maintained.

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve complex issues quickly and efficiently.

• Use critical thinking skills to identify problems, propose solutions, and execute repairs with minimal impact on operations.

• Take on additional responsibilities as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn new tasks.

• Always adhere to safety protocols and company guidelines while performing repairs and maintenance.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a technical or mechanical role, preferably with irrigation systems.

• Must pass a background check consisting of employment history, professional references, criminal record, and drug screening.

• Ability to speak, read and write English, Bilingual in Spanish, highly desirable.

• Effective communication to interact with clients and explain technical aspects of irrigation systems.

• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills, particularly with electrical and mechanical components.

• Ability to think critically and solve problems efficiently under pressure.

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to maintain a clean and orderly work environment.

• Willingness to learn new tasks and adapt to changing responsibilities.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting.

• Must have a professional appearance.

• Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.

• Must have transportation to and from work.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors in all temperatures and varied weather conditions.

• Must be able to lift and/or move 50 lbs., ask for help with heavier things.

• Comfortable working in various environments, including cramped or confined spaces.

• This position requires bending, stooping, reaching, walking and lifting especially when maintaining in-ground sprinkler systems.

• Able to work 45 hours per week

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
