As a mechanical engineer at Rainmaker, you will work with Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and novel aerosol dispersal mechanisms. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development and optimization of cutting-edge UAS platforms and innovative dispersal systems for a variety of applications.
What You'll Do
- Develop novel aerosol dispersal mechanisms, including nozzle design, flow control, and payload integration
- Conduct computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations and wind tunnel testing to validate design concepts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including avionics, controls, and software engineers, to ensure seamless system integration
- Oversee prototype fabrication, testing, and iterative design improvements
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety, regulatory, and industry standards
- Document design processes, test results, and performance data
- Provide technical expertise and support to the broader engineering team
