RainTight Decks / RT Construction is a family-owned company located in the greater St. Louis Metro area with an additional location in Rocky Mount, MO, serving The Lake of the Ozarks. We have been in business since 2005 offering multiple unique outdoor living space options. Our goal is to inspire our customers to bring their dream to life through custom, sustainable, and quality outdoor living spaces that families can enjoy for years to come.
We specialized in our signature RainTight Underdeck System, RainTight Underdeck Kits, decks, patio covers, screen rooms and an all-welded custom aluminum handrail system. We also offer new dock construction, dock additions, rip rap, seawall repair, and much more.
We are currently looking for an Inside and Outside Sales Professional for the St. Louis area. Currently located in O'Fallon, MO, we are moving to our new space in Wentzville this Spring. The ideal candidate must be a result driven, detail-oriented individual with a proven track record of client relationship management, preferably with a background in construction and construction estimating. The main goals of our Sales Professionals are to drive sales and enhance our relationships with both our business to business clients and new customers with positive sales results that meet or exceed our sales goals. The ideal candidate will be able to represent those values in every interaction they have with our clients.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Be able to measure, estimate, and bid jobs for customers.
- Understand and follow established procedures for providing timely estimates, documenting your work, placing customer orders, servicing of customers, adhering to pricing guidelines, and recommending changes, when warranted, to achieve overall company goals.
- Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and remain resilient under stress.
- Works with the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets to achieve maximum sales in assigned territories.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Provide and report market information / research on pricing and / or customer needs / special requests.
- Excellent Time Management Skills, with flexibility (i.e., Making customer calls in clusters, scheduling territory coverage efficiently, and spending maximum time in front of customers).
- Excellent Organizational Skills, including planning each week, each day, and each call with intention.
- Previous sales experience (preferably in construction) with successful achievement of increasing revenue through current customers and developing new customer base.
- Ability to follow established administrative procedures, including maintenance of client information files and making sure all pertinent information is attached to the Lead in our customer management system.
- Ability to adhere to all company policies / procedures and operate effectively within established budgetary restraints.
- A friendly personality with a positive attitude and willingness to work as a team in a collaborative environment.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving history.
- A Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, construction management or related field of study is a plus.
