Job Summary:
The Social Services coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the daily operations of the children’s
group home by managing administrative tasks, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating
appointments for youth. This individual also serves as an assistant to the Clinical Director, ensuring
efficient communication, documentation, and operational flow. The ideal candidate is highly organized,
detail-oriented, and experienced in working within child welfare or behavioral health settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and organize physical and digital client files in accordance with agency policies and
licensing regulations.
Coordinate medical, dental, therapeutic, and psychiatric appointments for residents and ensure
proper documentation and follow-up.
Assist the Clinical Director with scheduling, communication, and administrative support
including meeting preparation, note-taking, and task follow-through.
Process incoming/outgoing correspondence, phone calls, and emails in a professional and
confidential manner.
Ensure all forms, consents, and assessments are properly filed, up-to-date, and accessible for
audits or case reviews.
Support staff with access to documentation, forms, and administrative tools as needed.
Prepare and maintain logs, reports, and schedules related to resident services and
appointments.
Maintain office supplies and inventory, ensuring that the home is equipped to function
smoothly.
Support coordination of training, licensing visits, and compliance-related documentation.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director or program leadership
Assist in completing investigations initiated by Clinical Director.
Qualifications:
associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in a behavioral health, child welfare,
or residential care setting.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic filing systems.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with Medicaid documentation, licensing standards, and case management systems is
a plus.
$18- $20 an hour based on education and experience
