What You’ll Be Doing
As the new Production Manager, you’ll be responsible for the efficient and effective operations of all production areas and achieving the manufacturing schedule in accordance with quality standards, current Good Manufacturing Practices, and budget guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Oversee production operations to achieve daily production requirements in compliance with FDA, cGMP, OSHA and other policies and regulations.
- Troubleshoot production challenges, determine course of action, and implement the course of action.
- Develops and supervises improvements in productivity and efficiency.
- Coordinates assistance from support staff personnel (engineering, purchasing, etc.).
- Interview, hire, and train new staff.
- Provide constructive feedback and retraining as needed.
- Handles discipline of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Plans and establishes work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequences to maximize productivity.
- Analyze production requirements.
- Assures continual establishment, update, and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Analyze and project production capabilities, personnel requirements, and efficiencies.
- Collaborate with support staff to plan equipment selection and layout to achieve maximum efficiency of existing processes or for start-up of new processes.
The Details
This is a full-time, permanent position located in the vibrant city of Gulfport, Mississippi, where you can enjoy the charm of coastal living. Gulfport offers a diverse range of activities and attractions for everyone. You will work from the Gulfport facility, Monday through Friday. Relocation assistance is available on a case-by-case basis. In addition to a competitive base salary starting at $100,000 per year (commensurate with experience), you will also a benefits package and vacation time.
Qualifications
- B.S. or equivalent experience in a related field, or a combination of both in a related field
- Experience with quality control, SOPs, cGMPs, OSHA, and FDA policies and regulations, personnel policies, and budget guidelines
- 5 years of management experience in a production/pharmaceutical setting
- Pharmaceutical experience required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Excellent management and teamwork skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Ability to understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures and current Good Manufacturing Practices provided by the Company
- Ability to walk, stand, or sit 8 or more hours a day
- Ability to lift heavy items up to 40 lbs. or more
