At Raising Cane’s, we support our Restaurants with both Business Unit & RSO support. Our commitment & dedication to Restaurant support is a competitive advantage! Business Unit Support Crewmembers are aligned to a specific Business Unit defined as either a Region, Market or Area. The Business Unit Teams are comprised of Support Crewmembers who are functional experts in various disciplines. The various Support Departments or Functions are led by best-in-class experts. The RSO Support Department / Functional leader is responsible for the hiring, training, personnel management, development & functional routines for the Business Unit Crewmembers.
The Divisional Leader of Training (DLT) will partner with the Divisional Leader of Restaurants and Restaurant Training Team to assess Training needs, certify training Restaurants, identify high potential talent, and deploy new training systems and programs. In addition, this position will serve as an ambassador for the brand, lead a team of Training experts, and cultivate positive training environments to fully align with Raising Cane’s Mission, Vision and goals. The DLT will provide insights on Training performance across the assigned Division and troubleshoot areas of opportunity to ensure stable growth and adherence to Cane’s high standards for Crew and Customer experience.

Restaurant Training Execution
- Forecast training needs for Crew and Managers based on growth and business dictated needs
- Establish and maintain network of Certified Training Restaurants to support growth
- Accountable for Certified Trainer development
- Ensure consistent execution of Crew and Management training in all Restaurants
- Continually work to improve efficiency and effectiveness of training execution
- Measure and analyze training effectiveness within the Division
Training Deployment and Rollouts
- Lead the training execution of new initiatives and training programs
- Ensure high quality and thorough rollouts, utilizing current adult learning methodology and facilitation standards
- Support compliance training and food safety initiatives
Business Unit Support
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Training functional experts
- Be the Restaurant Training Subject Matter Expert for all assigned Business Units
- Support the execution of Restaurant level training for BU Teams
- Review Period, Quarterly and Yearly results to identify gaps and support training plans to address deficiencies
Restaurant Support
- Partner with Business Unit Leaders and Restaurant Training Team to assess needs and develop training strategies
- Lead operational support as needed during times of manpower transition, under-performance of teams, severe weather and crisis recovery
Team Development
- Create and execute development strategies for developing internal Restaurant talent per needs of the Company
- Collaborate with Recruiting Department to source, select and hire high caliber Crewmembers that properly balance the company’s growth plans, opportunities, and resources
- Responsible for overseeing, developing, and mentoring Restaurant Training Crewmembers; assesses performance objectively; provides clear and direct feedback
Position / Role Requirements
- Excellent classroom facilitation skills
- Seven years of restaurant industry experience in casual dining or quick service
- Knowledge of principles and methods for change management, teaching and instruction for individuals and adult learners, and measurement of training results
- Strong work ethic and “hands on” approach
- High attention to detail; analytical & decisive decision maker
- Ability to work effectively at a senior management level & prioritize workload
- Microsoft Proficient: Word, Excel & Power Point
- Will work out of Divisional Restaurant Support Office
- Travel as required
Qualifications, Experience & Education
- College degree required
- SPHR or PHR preferred
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
