Your Role at Raising Cane’s:
The Culinary Manager is responsible for leading the research, development, and validation of their assigned products for launch in restaurant; primary focus on chicken. This role is responsible for utilizing effective management techniques at each phase of the product development process and will possess related technical knowledge to support innovative solutions.

 

Your Impact and Responsibilities:
• Learns and maintains a deep knowledge of their assigned products to provide technical and performance content to the business and cross-functional teams
• Develops new processes and technologies with suppliers or in the restaurant that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of assigned products
• Develops the scope for technical development and testing needs for each project
• Works closely with internal and supplier Subject Matter Experts (SME) to reach project objectives
• Utilizes knowledge of scientific research practices and protocols to ensure product knowledge is reliable
• Supports the development of specifications and attribute standards to ensure long term scale of recipes and ingredients by being an expert in plant production product readiness, implementation and continuous improvement
• Collaborates with internal stakeholders and external product suppliers to meet project deliverables
• Delivers comprehensive results with supporting documentation, recommendations, and corrective action
• Provides leadership summaries regarding progress, opportunities, and resolutions
• Prepares product and present materials for crew training and knowledge sharing

Requirements for Success:
• 3 years of product development experience within the food industry; focus areas in chicken R&D, manufacturing, quality systems and new product innovation
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects
• Demonstrates capacity for gathering data to identify opportunities, patterns, and recommended solutions
• Familiar with USDA/FDA regulations and standards
• Able to follow proper safety procedures when handling and/or preparing food. Lift and carry, push or pull heavy objects up to 50 pounds
• Self-driven, flexible, and highly energetic with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work effectively and efficiently both independently and collaboratively
• Able to work out of our Plano, TX office and travel as required to manufacturing facilities and Restaurants, up to 30%
• Microsoft Proficient: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Poultry Science, Animal Science related field or equivalent experience
