Job Description:
This position will be for a nights weekend schedule CT / X-Ray Tech Weekends Schedule position - 7p-7a - Fri, Sat, Sun
Position Highlights:
Technologist will
operate as a multi modality tech (CT and XR) .
Required to perform CT,
X-ray, Fluoro, C-arm
May be required to rotate weekends and take call
ARRT Certified in CT
IV skills preferred

Performs computed tomography procedures and related techniques. Administers x-radiation to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation. May be required to alternate shifts, weekends, holidays, and take call. May be asked to flex hours and overtime as necessary to provide quality patient care at assigned sites(s). Works as part of a multidisciplinary team, serving on committees and participating in projects as requested. Depending on site assigned, may also be required to perform radiographer job duties.
Performs diagnostic CT procedures.
If assigned radiographer job duties, also performs radiographic, fluoroscopic, surgical and portable radiographic exams.
Corroborates patient's clinical history with procedure, ensuring information is documented and available for use by the radiologist.
Prepares the patient for procedures, providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety.
Selects and operates imaging equipment, image capture devices, and accessories to successfully perform procedures.
Positions patient to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort; immobilizes patient as necessary.
Practices aseptic technique as necessary,
Prepares and administers contrast media as appropriate to procedures performed; starts and maintains intravenous access.
Initiates basic life support action when necessary.
Provides patient education.
Provides input for supply and equipment decisions, maintains control of inventory and supplies for assigned area.
Provides practical instruction for students and partners.
Observes universal protocol, standard precautions and appropriate patient identifiers.
Applies principles of patient safety during all aspects of procedures, including assisting and transporting patients.
Education & Experience:
Graduate of an accredited radiography program
Radiographer experience required
CT experience required
Certification / Licensure:
ARRT Radiography registration required
ARRT Computed Tomography registration required
WI-DSPS radiographer license required
Approved CPR or BLS certification required
