Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 36

Pay Details:

For Local Candidates pay rate: $20 to $22/hr (If your permanent address is within 50 miles from the facility)

For Travelers/Stipend Candidates (If your permanent address is outside the 50 mile radius from the facility):
Blended Hourly W2 Pay Rate: $21.00
Blended Weekly Gross Pay Rate: $756.00
Minimum Hourly W2 Pay Rate: $15.00
Min. W2 Weekly Gross (Taxable): $540.00
Weekly Stipend (Non-Taxable): $216.00

For Traveler 1099 Candidates:
Pay Rate on 1099 to the Candidate: $22.00
Weekly 1099 Traveler Pay Rate: $792.00

Job Description Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) to join our team in Springfield, VT. The ED Tech will support emergency department staff by providing direct patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring a safe, efficient environment for patients and medical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, assisting with medical procedures, and ensuring patient comfort.
• Prepare and transport patients to and from examination or procedure rooms.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the emergency department.
• Ensure proper documentation of patient information and interactions.
• Work collaboratively with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff to deliver quality care.
• Prepare and stock emergency department supplies, ensuring everything is readily available for patient care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure effective treatment and care delivery.

Experience Requirements:

• 2 years of CURRENT experience in a clinical or emergency department setting is required.
• Travel experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience in a small critical access facility is preferred.

Certification Requirements:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) | American Heart Association (AHA) | Prior to Start Date
• National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) | Preferred
• Vermont State EMT License | Required Prior to Start Date
