Job Title: Environmental Services Supervisor
Location:North St, Pittsfield, MA 01201
Duration: 13 weeks (with possibilities of extension)
Shift:3pm to 11pm
Guaranteed Hours: 40

Pay Details:

For Local Candidates pay rate: $20 to $22/hr (If your permanent address is within 50 miles from the facility)

For Travelers/Stipend Candidates (If your permanent address is outside the 50 mile radius from the facility):
Blended Hourly W2 Pay Rate: $25.00
Blended Weekly Gross Pay Rate: $900.00
Minimum Hourly W2 Pay Rate: $16.00
Min. W2 Weekly Gross (Taxable): $576.00
Weekly Stipend (Non-Taxable): $324.00

OR

For Traveler 1099 Candidates:
Pay Rate on 1099 to the Candidate: $27.00
Weekly 1099 Traveler Pay Rate: $972.00

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Environmental Services Supervisor to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing the cleaning and sanitation of hospital departments, patient care units, and ancillary areas, ensuring that all environmental standards are met. The Environmental Services Supervisor will also perform minor repairs, transport soiled equipment, and ensure all work is done in compliance with safety regulations and organizational values.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Supervise and perform routine and on-demand cleaning in hospital departments and patient care areas.
• Oversee the cleaning and sanitation of both patient and non-patient areas to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Manage environmental services staff, ensuring tasks are completed with a high level of quality.
• Ensure proper handling of equipment, supplies, and the safe disposal of waste.
• Conduct minor repairs as needed and ensure the environment remains in excellent condition for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Maintain compliance with all safety standards and regulations in the workplace.
• Supervise and mentor staff, including completing staff evaluations and providing performance feedback.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of relevant experience in environmental services required.
• 2 years of current supervisory experience in an environmental services setting required.
• Proven ability to perform cleaning tasks and duties in accordance with established standards.
• CPI certification required for staff assigned to Behavioral Health Unit (BHU) and Emergency Department (pending offer).
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally.
• Ability to use communication devices such as telephones, pagers, etc.
• Must have own vehicle for travel-related duties (this is a firm requirement).
• Willingness to complete tasks with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
