Guaranteed Hours: 36

Pay Rate:

For Local Candidates pay rate: $38 to $40/hr. (If your permanent address is within 50-miles from the facility)

For Travelers/Stipend Candidates (If your permanent address is outside the 75-mile radius from the facility):
Blended Hourly W2 Pay Rate: $40.00
Blended Weekly Gross Pay Rate:  $1,440.00
Minimum Hourly W2 Pay Rate: $17.00
Min. W2 Weekly Gross (Taxable): $612.00
Weekly Stipend (Non-Taxable): $828.00

OR

For Traveler 1099 Candidates:
Pay Rate on 1099 to the Candidate: $49.00
Weekly 1099 Traveler Pay Rate:        $1,960.00

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a dynamic Med Surg team in an acute care hospital setting. This is not a long-term care (LTC) unit. This is an excellent opportunity for LPNs who are actively pursuing RN licensure. Candidates must have an active AHA BLS certification. Local LPN candidates are welcome. Float is expected within MS/Tele units and, when necessary, to ICU or ER for Med Surg-level care or support.

Licenses:

• Active New York/Compact LPN License.
• BLS (AHA) Certification.

Skills required:

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of RNs and physicians in a Med Surg unit
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and assist with patient assessments
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement individualized patient care plans
• Document all patient interactions, observations, and interventions accurately
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Float as needed to other Med Surg/Tele units
• When floating to ICU/ER, assist with Med Surg-level patients or provide supportive care
• Maintain infection control and safety protocols in accordance with facility standards
• Respond promptly to patient needs and report any changes in condition to RN or physician
