Job Title: LVN/LPN – Med Surg

Location: Logan Ave, Waterloo, IA 50703

Duration: 13-Week Contract (With possibility of extension)
Shift: Nights (3 x 12 hrs.)

Guaranteed Hours: 36

Pay Rate:

For Local Candidates: $38-$41/hour (If your permanent address is within 60 miles from the facility)

For Travelers/Stipend Candidates (If your permanent address is outside the 60-mile radius from the facility):
Blended Hourly W2 Pay Rate:      $44.00
Blended Weekly Gross Pay Rate:  $1,584.00
Minimum Hourly W2 Pay Rate:    $10.00
Min. W2 Weekly Gross (Taxable):  $360.00
Weekly Stipend (Non-Taxable):    $1,224.00

OR

For Traveler 1099 Candidates:
Pay Rate on 1099 to the Candidate: $46.00
Weekly 1099 Traveler Pay Rate:        $1,656.00

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our 28-bed Medical-Surgical unit, providing high-quality post-operative care. The ideal candidate will assist in monitoring patients, administering medications, and collaborating with RNs and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role requires experience in telemetry monitoring and the management of cardiac drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Lasix, and Insulin.

Experience:

• 2 years current Med/Surg, PACU and/or post-operative care – Required
• Tele Strip Reading experience - Required
• Epic EMR experience – Preferred.

Certification Requirements:

• BLS (AHA)
• LPN License for the state of Iowa / Compact allowed.
