Job Description: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Location: Mount Olive, NC
Shift: 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
Contract Length: 9 Weeks
Pay Details: (LOCALS ONLY)
For Local Candidates pay rate: $22 to $24/hr (If your permanent address is within 50 miles from the facility)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide exceptional patient care in Mount Olive, NC. This 9-week contract offers 8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, guaranteeing 36 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience as a CNA and be comfortable working with a diverse patient population in a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiration rate.
- Assist with patient mobility, including transferring patients and repositioning them in bed.
- Provide support during mealtimes, including feeding assistance and ensuring hydration.
- Help patients with toileting and incontinence care.
- Observe and report any changes in patient conditions to the nursing team.
- Maintain patient comfort and safety, following facility protocols.
- Work collaboratively with RNs and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care.
- Adhere to infection control and safety procedures to ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Educate patients and families on care routines and health management.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- Licensure/Certification:
- Active CNA certification in the state of North Carolina.
- BLS/BCLS certification required.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Other:
- Must be able to comprehend, speak, and write in English.
- Must be able to work with diverse patient populations.
