Job Title: RN Flex Pool
Location: Waianuenue Ave, Hilo, HI 96720
Duration: 13 weeks contract
Shift: 12-hour shifts - Nights (1845-0715)
Guaranteed Hours: Scheduled 36 hours per week following first week of orientation. No guarantee of hours.
Pay Details:
For Local Candidates pay rate: $53 to $58/hr (If your permanent address is within 50 miles from the facility)
For Travelers/Stipend Candidates (If your permanent address is outside the 50 mile radius from the facility):
Blended Hourly W2 Pay Rate: $57.00
Blended Weekly Gross Pay Rate: $2,052.00
Minimum Hourly W2 Pay Rate: $15.00
Min. W2 Weekly Gross (Taxable): $540.00
Weekly Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,512.00

For Traveler 1099 Candidates:
Pay Rate on 1099 to the Candidate: $58.00
Weekly 1099 Traveler Pay Rate: $2,088.00
Overview:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Flex Pool and provide essential nursing care across various medical and surgical units. As part of the Flex Pool, you will float between different departments, offering flexibility and support where needed. This role requires an experienced and adaptable nurse ready to deliver quality care across different settings.
General Job Duties:
- Float between various medical and surgical units, providing direct patient care.
- Perform nursing procedures as required by the unit, utilizing your skills in various specialties.
- Deliver patient care in compliance with established nursing standards and facility protocols.
Shift and Schedule Requirements:
- 12-hour Night Shifts (1845 to 0715).
- Scheduled 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation.
- No guarantee of hours beyond scheduled shifts.
Equipment Utilized:
- Meditech EMR
- Pyxis Medication Management
- Wound Vac Systems
- Chest Tubes
Required Skills and Experience:
- 2-10 years’ experience in nursing.
- Ability to float across different units and adapt to varying patient care needs.
Licensure and Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Preferred Certifications: PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), Procedural Sedation, TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course).
Floating to Other Units/Departments:
- Medical Unit (77 beds)
- Laulima Unit (Surgical Acute, 18 beds)
- Cardiovascular Unit (15 beds; rare occurrences)
Nurse to Patient Ratio:
- Medical Unit: 1:6 for days and evenings, 1:8 for nights.
- Laulima Unit: 1:6.
- Cardiovascular Unit: 1:4.
- Ratios may vary due to unexpected leaves.
Dress Code:
- Professional nursing attire.
- Clean scrubs are required.
Flu Vaccination Requirement:
- Proof of flu vaccination or a facility-approved application for medical or religious exception is required prior to the contract start date.
- Flu vaccination can be administered during the employee health clearance appointment.
