Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg/Telemetry

Location: Waterloo, IA
Shift: Day Shift, 12-hour shifts
Contract Length: 13 Weeks

For Local Candidates pay rate: $58-$63/hr (If your permanent address is within 50 miles from the facility)
For Travelers/Stipend Candidates (If your permanent address is outside the 50-mile radius from the facility):

Blended Hourly W2 Pay Rate:      $67.00
Blended Weekly Gross Pay Rate:  $2,412.00
Minimum Hourly W2 Pay Rate:    $33.00
Min. W2 Weekly Gross (Taxable):  $1,188.00
Weekly Stipend (Non-Taxable):    $1,224.00

OR

For Traveler 1099 Candidates:
Pay Rate on 1099 to the Candidate: $72.00
Weekly 1099 Traveler Pay Rate:        $2,592.00

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg/Telemetry for a 13-week contract in Waterloo, IA. This position requires day shifts with 12-hour shifts, totaling 36 hours per week. Candidates must be willing to float to other units within their skill set if needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Med Surg/Tele Duties: Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, monitoring and managing patients requiring medical-surgical and telemetry care.
• Telemetry Monitoring: Strongly encouraged to have telemetry strip reading experience.
• Float Requirements: Must be willing to float internally to other units based on skill set.
• Patient Care: Administer medications, monitor vital signs, assess patient conditions, and collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely patient records.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience – REQUIRED.
• Telemetry Experience: Strongly encouraged to have telemetry strip reading experience.
• Certifications (Must be AHA, active upon submission):
• ACLS – REQUIRED
• BLS – REQUIRED
• State License: Active Iowa RN license or Compact RN license – REQUIRED.
• Floating: Must be open to floating to other units within skill set.

Schedule and Compensation:

• Shift Hours: 12-hour day shifts.
• Contract Length: 13 weeks.
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week.
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend, including holiday rotation.
