Shift: 3 PM TO 11:30 PM
Contract Length: 13 Weeks

For Travelers/Stipend Candidates (If your permanent address is outside the 50 mile radius from the facility):
Blended Hourly W2 Pay Rate: $37.00
Blended Weekly Gross Pay Rate: $1,184.00
Minimum Hourly W2 Pay Rate: $13.00
Min. W2 Weekly Gross (Taxable): $416.00
Weekly Stipend (Non-Taxable): $768.00

For Traveler 1099 Candidates:
Pay Rate on 1099 to the Candidate: $39.00
Weekly 1099 Traveler Pay Rate: $1,248.00

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sterile Processing Technician for a 13-week contract in New Mexico. This position requires a Scrub Tech Certification and prior experience in large OR settings. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of current experience and a flexible approach to working in a fast-paced environment. This is a night shift role with weekend rotation, on-call, and holiday coverage required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform decontamination, assembly, high-level disinfection, and sterilization of surgical instruments for the OR and other hospital departments.
• Ensure all instruments are sterilized and prepared in accordance with established standards and policies.
• Prioritize tasks as directed by the supervisor to support patient care and OR requirements.
• Accurately document all sterilization and disinfection procedures.
• Perform skills checklists and competency assessments as needed.
• Maintain an organized and sterile work environment.
• Work closely with the surgical team to ensure timely delivery of sterilized instruments.
• Flexible to float within the facility and alternate locations within 20 miles of the primary assignment.
• Provide support for emergency and urgent procedures when necessary.
• Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of current experience in a large OR (REQUIRED).
• Certifications:
• Active Scrub Tech Certification (REQUIRED).
• BLS (American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cros)s (REQUIRED).
• Skills:
• Experience with Ortho, ENT, and/or Vascular surgery (preferred).
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
• Other Requirements:
• Ability to work on-call, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Flexibility to float within the facility or to alternate locations within a 20-mile radius.

Schedule and Compensation:

• Shift Hours: 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week.
• Shift Days: May include weekends and occasional holidays.
• Contract Length: 13 weeks.
• Holiday Coverage: Required.
