Job Overview
This position reports to the Network and Infrastructure Manager. This role does not supervise any positions and will need to be a highly capable problem-solver, who will optimize the organization’s voice/data systems and overall network. Responsible for evaluating and maintaining performance, collaborating with the information technology Team and staff to increase network capacity, and monitoring network security. Success factors will be driven by in-depth knowledge of networking technologies and experience in a similar role managing stable, fast, and secure exchange of company information.

Qualifications
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field. CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate), MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Administrator), or MSCE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) certification is required.
- Minimum of 4 years of demonstrated experience in network administration
- Strong customer service skills with the willingness to assist others.
- Must have excellent communication skills, particularly when communicating complex information.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to coordinate with information technology and other departments and personnel.
- Ability to operate network servers and other business equipment.
Role Description and Essential Duties
- Responsible for proactive and preventive monitoring, maintaining, repairing, and enhancing of voice/data systems and performance. Determining company needs and coordinating the development of network infrastructure with the information technology team. In conjunction with the team lead or more senior team members, design, install, and configure equipment and peripherals for LAN, and WAN voice/data transmissions ensuring stable network connectivity for end-user equipment. Regular maintenance, upgrade, updates repairs, and implementation for servers, switches, routers, storage devices, and other equipment. Follows documented policies and procedures established by management. Ensures credit union follows all security standards and license agreements.
- Interacts with onsite and remote Raiz team members and occasionally third-party vendors via ticketing system, phone, email, or in-person to provide hardware and software support, configuration, and implementation. Effectively communicates with team lead or manager regarding pertinent network or application issues. Supports information technology team members as level two support. Administers Active Directory, application, file share, and other network resource security permissions required by team members.
- Participate in formal and informal learning opportunities. Remain informed on current network technology trends and infrastructure.
- Proactively engage in interdepartmental collaboration to enhance processes and new partnerships. Maintain good external relations with vendors and community partners.
- Enhance network security, as well as documenting network processes and infrastructure. Work with security vendors and ensure applicable network security measures are implemented.
- Configure and deploy computers and peripherals to meet security standards.
- Desktop systems and peripherals installation and maintenance support.
- Review security incidents, backups of network systems and configurations for security standards.
- Participate in remodeling, construction, or moves, planning, and design to determine needs.
- Answer the service desk queue.
- Review and recommend desktop/peripheral hardware upgrades/replacements.
- Review and report on service desk tickets to management.
- Involved in incident responses.
- Complies with all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) rules and regulations, in addition to the Customer Identification Program (CIP). Attends required annual BSA training and required compliance training.
- Assist with all other duties as assigned or identified.
