Job Description:
As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the dental practice operates efficiently and patients receive excellent care. You will assist the dentist during procedures, provide patient support, and help maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including preparing instruments and materials.
- Ensure patient comfort and provide a welcoming experience.
- Perform chairside assistance, including suctioning, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field.
- Take and develop dental X-rays as needed.
- Prepare treatment rooms for procedures, ensuring cleanliness and readiness.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards.
- Schedule appointments and update patient records accurately using dental software.
- Provide post-treatment care instructions to patients.
- Manage inventory and order dental supplies as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) credential is preferred but not mandatory.
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with dental software (e.g., Dentrix or Eaglesoft) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
