Job Description:
The Maintenance Technician will perform a wide variety of skilled mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks. The role includes installing, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment and plant facilities, ensuring optimal operation of all equipment and processes. This position is moderately physical.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic, and combustion malfunctions and operating difficulties.
- Determine repair procedures and implement effective solutions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Navigate and interpret ladder logic in SLC 500, PLC 5, and Control Logix software to troubleshoot equipment faults.
- Modify positions and diagnose problems on ABB robots (models M94, M98, M2000, M2600, and M6700).
- Install, move, and align new and existing equipment.
- Set up and operate various types of machine shop equipment with accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform gas and electric welding operations.
- Complete related machine repair records and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
- Perform preventive and proactive maintenance tasks on plant equipment.
- Execute additional related duties as assigned by supervision or team leaders.
Qualifications:
Must Have:
- Education:
- Must be able to apply principles acquired through technical or vocational subjects (certificates or some college coursework).
- Experience:
- 4 years of experience with Allen Bradley, Hydraulics, Robotics, and Welding.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting die casting machine cells using PLCs, electrical, and hydraulic schematics.
- Skills:
- Expertise in ladder logic navigation and interpretation for SLC 500, PLC 5, and Control Logix software.
- Proficiency in modifying and diagnosing ABB robot models (M94, M98, M2000, M2600, M6700).
- Capability to perform both gas and electric welding operations.
Additional Information:
- The manager is looking to direct hire this position for the right candidate.
- Pay Rate: Up to $37.00/hour based on candidate skill set and experience (not exceeding this rate).
- Sign-On Bonus: Available upon hire or conversion with the signing of a one-year promissory note.
