About the Role
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer who thrives on innovation, problem-solving, and hands-on design . This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge material handling solutions , collaborate with cross-functional teams, and see projects through from concept to production.
This role involves mechanical design, project management, and ensuring manufacturability , working closely with manufacturing, vendors, and customers to develop high-quality conveyor systems and equipment .
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and create innovative designs that prioritize customer needs.
- Develop engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and manage projects from concept to completion.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure products are optimized for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
- Support field testing and process improvements, incorporating new ideas into future designs.
- Provide technical support for the sales team, including quoting and scope of work development.
- Evaluate product designs relative to material selection, cost, and reliability.
- Work on sheet metal, structural fabrication, welding, and manufacturing equipment techniques.
- Use CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor) to create 3D models and drawings.
