Senior Process Engineer (Direct Hire/ Remote)

Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead growth process designs for multiple plants across the Central U.S. The role focuses on managing capital projects, process improvements, and plant optimizations within mining or cement industries. This is a remote position with 50% travel required to project sites.
Non-Negotiable Requirements:

 Must be located in the Central U.S. (No relocation assistance provided).
 Minimum 5 years of experience in project management or process improvement roles within mining or cement industries.
 Strong design experience in plant upgrades and process engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and safely execute multiple capital projects from scope development to commissioning.
• Manage cost control, construction, training, and documentation.Identify and implement process yield improvements, higher throughput, and cost-saving initiatives.
  
• Track and monitor key productivity metrics to ensure plant operations meet design conditions.
  
• Maintain updated operating procedures, engineering drawings, and best practices.
  
• Ensure proper integration of new equipment within existing sites.
  
• Work with operating sites to assess mechanical integrity and develop capital budgeting plans.
  
• Identify and respond to safety, environmental, compliance, and process improvement opportunities.

Additional Information:

• Work Schedule: Not flexible (set hours).
  
• Travel Requirement: 50% (Regular visits to project sites).
  
• Internet Stipend: $50/month.

Requirements

Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

 Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Process, or Mechanical Engineering.
 Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, leadership, or process improvement roles.
 Proven track record in manufacturing environments focused on safety, reliability, and process improvements.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, safety rules, operating manuals, and process documentation.
Experience in metals/non-metals mining, industrial minerals processing, or continuous process manufacturing involving dry powder handling.
 Proficiency in engineering tools & software:
