Role Summary :
Our client, a leader in renewable and conventional power generation, is seeking a Senior Project Accountant to join their Buffalo Grove, IL team.
This role requires an onsite presence and involves managing day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring compliance, and supporting the company’s transition to sustainable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
Review credit agreements, depositary agreements, and project contracts to ensure compliance with covenants and reporting requirements.
Organize monthly management meetings and liaise with international equity partners.
Prepare and present budgets and ad hoc accounting reports to senior management.
Generate GAAP financial statements and maintain partners’ capital accounts per operating agreements.
Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to create audited financial statements and tax returns.
Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, including withdrawal certificates and timely invoice payments.
Perform treasury functions, monitor bank accounts, consolidate cash forecasts, and manage intercompany transfers and revolver lines of credit.
Provide general ledger (G / L) accounting support.
Required Skills : Must Have :
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting.
5 years of accounting or finance experience.
Strong understanding of GAAP .
Experience with Oracle NetSuite .
Advanced proficiency in Excel , including financial modeling.
Nice to Have : Knowledge of IFRS .
CPA certification.
Familiarity with hedge accounting .
Experience in renewable or conventional energy industries.
Additional Information :
On-site Position : Non-remote; must report to the Buffalo Grove, IL office Monday through Friday.
Work Authorization : Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
